Hotel Agava was born from a dream — not of building something new, but of bringing something timeless back to life. When the Mišerda family, long rooted in construction, discovered a forgotten 500-year-old noble house in Varoš, they didn’t see decay — they saw a story waiting to be told.

Our Story & Heritage

Stone by stone, arch by arch, they restored its Renaissance beauty. In its walls, they uncovered Roman-era artifacts. At its heart stood a grand staircase — silent witness to centuries past. What time had worn away, they rebuilt with care, blending original elements with modern comforts. The result? A place where history breathes, and elegance feels effortless.

We named the hotel Agava after the hardy coastal plant whose fibers are woven into delicate Dalmatian lace — a symbol of our mission: to craft beauty from heritage, and share it with you.

Design & Restoration

Hotel Agava spans two lovingly restored buildings: the Heritage Villa and the Luxury Annex, each offering rooms with soul and story. You won’t find elevators here — these are protected landmarks — but our team is always on hand to carry your bags and welcome you like family.

Original stone walls, handcrafted furniture, antique accents — every detail is thoughtfully chosen. And just behind the villa, a peaceful courtyard garden awaits, with a petite pool and sun terrace that feels like your own hidden retreat.
